“Solving the Problems: Designing and Building the Hycon 73-B, The First U-2 Aircraft Camera

The AFA Gabriel Chapter wants to let you know about a virtual presentation at our AFA Community Partner, the Cold War Museum (CWM).  The guest speaker is Mr. Gordon Jefferson, an engineer, who will talk about overcoming the difficult technical problems in creating the first U-2 camera.

TIMELINE

  • 1330-1400 – Participants arrive in the ZOOM room online.
  • 1400-1405 – Jason Hall, Executive Director of the Cold War Museum, introduces the Museum and Liza Mundy.
  • 1405-1500 – Gordon presents on the overcoming the difficult technical problems in creating the first U-2 camera.
  • 1500-1530 – Q&A opportunity for the audience.

The cost is $20, 100% of which is a contribution to the Cold War Museum.
